On April 6th, 2024, The Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, phoned the Qatari Prime Minister and the Egyptian Minister of Intelligence, informing them of Hamas’s agreement to their proposal regarding a ceasefire agreement, according to Hamas Leader to Al Jazeer.

Hamas Leader Tahir al-Nono to Al-Arabi: “We have agreed to a proposal that includes a permanent ceasefire, reconstruction, return of refugees to their places in the north, and prisoner swap deal.”

The Israeli leadership fears the ceasefire because the resulting outcomes will not be in its favor. We await the mediators’ response to the proposal presented by the movement’s leadership and now ‘Israel’

According to Hamas sources:
-The first stage of the deal involves releasing 33 Israeli captives in exchange for 800-1000 Palestinians.
-The second stage involves resolving the prisoner file, and the third involves exchanging bodies.
-The third stage includes starting the reconstruction and housing of displaced persons.
– The proposal involves releasing 20 Palestinians serving life sentences in exchange for each female soldier.

Deputy Head of Hamas Movement Khalil al-Hayya told Al Jazeera that the movement has achieved in this agreement the objectives of ceasefire, return of displaced persons, relief, and a serious exchange deal.

There will be no restrictions on people’s return to their places in the north, and Israeli forces will withdraw from the Natzeream checkpoint, he stressed.

“Mediators have informed us that the U.S. President is committed clearly to ensuring the agreement’s implementation. Now the ball is in the court of the Israeli occupation,” he added.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan welcomed and appreciated Hamas’ announcement of accepting the ceasefire agreement based on proposal, saying he awaites the same step from the Israeli side.

The Israeli media and officials have gone mad over the proposal for a ceasefire that Hamas has accepted, which literally means a resounding defeat for ‘Israel’ and the failure to achieve any objective. It has led Israel’s national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir to immediately threaten to dissolve the government if Netanyahu agrees to it.

Israeli media tries to evade from the scene saying ‘Israel’ has not yet received confirmation of Hamas’s acceptance of the broad outlines of the ceasefire, and the deal Has agreed on is different from that presented to ‘Israel’.

Israeli hostages’ families block main roads in ‘Israel’, declaring: “Hamas agreed to the deal, and now it is time to bring the hostages home, otherwise we will burn the country.”
