Tunisian President Kais Saied has come under fire for calling the naming of Storm Daniel a ‘Zionist infiltration’. Tunisian ministers looked uncomfortable in their seats as Saied delivered his speech, which was roundly criticised by politicians and journalists as ‘anti-Semitic’ and inaccurate. Saied asserted that Daniel was used because he’s a ‘Hebrew prophet’, despite the fact that Daniel isn’t considered a prophet in Judaism but is considered a prophet in Christianity and some Islamic traditions.
