Israeli Settlers Storm Palestinian Archaeological Site in Occupied Jericho
A group of Israeli settlers stormed Friday, August 18, 2023, a Palestinian archaeological site in the occupied city of Jericho, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
According to local sources, Israeli settlers stormed the archaeological site of “Shihwan Synagogue” in the city and performed Talmudic rituals, which led to the outbreak of confrontations between Palestinian citizens and the Israeli occupation forces.
According to latest Amnesty International reports, Israeli settlers have been violating Palestinians’ right of life, as Israeli forces and security guards have unlawfully killed and injured many Palestinian civilians including during protests against the confiscation of land and the construction of settlements.
It’s worth noting that more than 650,000 colonial settlers are distributed among 164 illegal settlements and 124 outposts built on the stolen lands of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
