Israeli Settlers Destroy Palestinian Crops, Property in Southern West Bank

Israeli settlers vandalized on Sunday, August 20, 2023, agricultural crops belonging to Palestinian citizens in the town of Yatta, located south of Hebron in the southern occupied West Bank.
According to the coordinator of the Protection and Resilience Committee in Massafer Yatta, Fuad Al-Amour, groups of Israeli settlers brought their sheep onto the lands of the Palestinian citizen Fareed Hammamda in the “Zuweidin” area. They proceeded to graze on agricultural crops, damaging significant number of the crops.
Al-Amour added that settlers vandalized a fence owned by citizen Shihada Makhmara in the “Mughayyir Al-Abid”.
Additionally, they scattered iron nails on roads leading to Yatta, aiming to obstruct the movement of citizens and cause damage to their vehicles.
The occupation forces continue to tighten their grip and violate the rights of Palestinian citizens and their properties in Yatta, with the clear objective of pressuring them to abandon their lands for the sake of settler expansion.
