Israeli Navy Injures 2 Gaza Fishermen

Two Palestinian fishermen were injured by Israeli naval gunfire on Sunday evening, September 17, 2023, off the coast of Rafah governorate in southern Gaza.

Israeli naval soldiers opened fire on a fishing boat operated by a father and his son, approximately four nautical miles off the coast of Rafah city.

This resulted in them being wounded and subsequently transported to the hospital.

Israeli naval forces frequently disrupt the lives of fishermen in the Gaza waters by firing at them, spraying water cannons towards their boats, and preventing them from pursuing their fishing profession.

According to local sources, Israeli occupation navy has executed more than 200 aggressive acts against Palestinian fishermen and their equipment off the shores of the Gaza Strip.
