Israeli Forces Conduct Larg-Scale Detention Campaign in West Bank, Jerusalem
Israeli occupation forces launched on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023, a wide-scale detention campaign in various areas of the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem, coinciding with the aggression on the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm in which the Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man.
The Israeli forces detained eight Palestinian citizens, including two university students from Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate.
In a related context, Israeli occupation forces arrested two young men from the town of Ya’abad in the southwest of Jenin after they were run over by a military jeep and had their motorcycles seized amidst confrontations.
Israeli patrols pursued the two young men while they were riding motorcycles, following the incursion into Ya’abad and the raid on the Al-Ba’ajwa neighborhood.
The town witnessed clashes between young Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces last night and early this morning.
Israeli forces invaded Ya’abad, raided several neighborhoods, and deployed their vehicles provocatively, leading to confrontations between the youth and occupation forces. The Israeli forces fired sound grenades and rubber bullets at civilian Palestinians.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli occupation forces invaded Nour Shams camp in Tukaram from multiple directions and began destroying streets and roads, including the main entrance to the city, before withdrawing after 3 hours.
